Fuchi & Kashira are ornamental components of the handle of a katana.
Fuchi is the ornament from the inner end where it is tsuba (guard). Kashira is the ornament placed on the outer end of the wooden handle. Usually these components are decorated with embossed or engraved designs, sometimes using precious metals.
The Fuchi & Kashira FK-2 set and the BMK-3 menuki set can be mounted together.
