Nunchaku is a traditional island weapon Okinawa. Nunchaku is originally an agricultural tool (similar the embrace from Romania - this being also composed of two but unequal segments). It is a widely used traditional weapon (called in Vietnamese martial arts long giant and in Chinese martial arts er jie gun –二節棍).

• Kikon-bu: The bottom of a segment.

• Kontei: the end of a segment.

In general nunchaku it was seen as a self-defense weapon.
