Yari Sports Chanbara. It is a yari made of sponge and covered with a textile cover, the long handle being made of durable plastic. It is used both in training and in internal competitions. It presents a high degree of safety. The construction of this type of weapon is innovative: the first half (the handle and part of the blade) is rigid, and the second half (towards the tip) is flexible. In this way, the risk of injury is very low. It is intended for chanbara sports practitioners - an officially recognized sport in Romania.
